I’ve always dreamed of owning a Classic Defender (and one’s still on the horizon!), but in 2023, I finally got behind the wheel of a new 110 D300. It’s the 7-seater, fitted with the expedition roof rack, ladder, extended arches, side steps, and a full third-party PPF wrap to keep it looking sharp. Thanks to the Covid-era chip shortages, it missed out on the digital rear-view mirror, but thankfully kept the digital dash, which I absolutely love. I’ve owned a fair few cars over the years, but nothing comes close to how this one makes me feel. Driving it is effortless, fun, and still makes me glance back every time I park. Sure, I wish it sounded like the V8 and had the handling of the OCTA, but for us, the D300 hit the sweet spot. It’s the perfect balance of performance and practicality.
